Starting this week, our team will be sharing helpful tips that highlight how other customers are successfully using DemandTools.

To kick things off, I’d like to share a recent inquiry from one of my customers, a Salesforce admin who manages a shared database across multiple business units. They asked how to create custom scenarios that are accessible only to specific users.

Did you know with the new scenario tagging feature, you can now control scenario visibility by user? This ensures users only access scenarios that are relevant to them, minimizing confusion and reducing the risk of accidental data changes.

Additionally, if you're a MyValidity portal admin, you can create custom roles, like a "Marketing User" role for your marketing team. For instance, if your marketing team only needs to upload lead data from trade shows, you can create a role that grants access to the Import module only. This ensures "Marketing User" role members are restricted from accessing other modules, keeping their access focused and secure.
