Match to social security number not working

I'm trying to match a list to current contacts on social security number. Most contacts have the social security number, but it's not being recognized during the match process. It is an encrypted text field and I have the list set as text with in the same format. I have view encrypted field access, so I don't know what else to try.

Hey @dgendron - My first reccomendation in these instances is, if it is not already, save your file as a CSV and use UTF-8 encoding. Salesforce doesn't always love translating certain numerical fields from spreadsheet to SF field. Give that a test and let me know!
