How do we prevent duplicates in the first place?

Question from my team - we have lots of duplicates and lead records created. Is there a good method to try to prevent the duplicates from ocurring in the first place.

Now we are reacting to duplicates and merging using Validity but I would love to learn more about how to prevent this in the first place

I'm glad you asked! As part of the DemandTools suite, you have access to our managed package called DupeBlocker. It allows for real-time prevention of duplicates using all the powerful tools available to you in the Dedupe module.
