Thank you @Tony_Validity for explaining how this works in DT V. I do see this as being problematic when multiple users are in the account and scenarios cannot be backed-up. I think DT V should allow a way to export the scenario xml as a backup. Is this on the roadmap?

I am using DT V on mac os and I can't figure out where the scenarios are being stored on the hard drive. Can someone point me to the folder location where I can find my scenarios?

I also noticed that when a sandbox was refreshed the scenario disappeared from the dashboard once I reconnected with the new credentials. Can someone clarify if the scenarios can still be found on the hard drive?

Thank you.

Hi @DaizyLogikSHFB ,

In DemandTools V, the scenarios are not stored locally on your machine but in the cloud. If refereshing your Sandbox, share your scenarios to another Salesforce Org ( new Sandbox, diffrent Sandbox or Production Org) prior to the refresh. After the refresh, share the scenarios to the new Sandbox Org. If you have the old sandbox org id, you can reach out to support@validity.com and they may be able to pull the scenarios as long as org has not been deleted.

When you create a scenario, it is automatically shared to all users in your organization, unless you restrict access to certain roles using tags. Learn more about tagging scenarios.

If you have access to more than one organization, you can choose to share your scenario to those users as well.

In the top right of your screen, expand your Account Information tab. This will show you which organizations you are logged into.

Log into the CRM account where you wish to share your scenario. Do not log out of your current CRM account.

Once you are logged into both accounts, go to the Scenarios table and find the scenario you want to share.

Open the menu with three vertical dots and select Share.

Choose the organization you want to share this scenario to, then save and close.

If you customize your scenario grid view, this configuration is saved to your scenario so that all users see the same view.

Customization includes pinning, sizing, ordering, and hiding columns across all modules (excluding Export and Verify).

Customization also includes sorting and grouping in Tune.

All Scenarios

You can share or delete multiple user-created scenarios at one time. From the Dashboard, select All Scenarios.

Check the box beside each scenario for which you want to apply a bulk action. Then select Share or Delete.

Sharing requires that you select a target organization, such as a sandbox account.

You can also overwrite scenario and winner/field rules if they already exist.

Note: Any user-created scenario can be shared or deleted. Prebuilt scenarios cannot be shared (because they are already available to all users) or deleted.

Thanks, @Tony_Validity.

Hi @DaizyLogikSHFB, providing a local xml file for scenarios in DTV is not currently on the roadmap. However, we are actively exploring scenario management and saving enhancements to ensure that multiple users across an organization have the appropriate level of visibility into a scenario's configuration when working with or making alterations to an existing scenario.

I'd love to discuss this topic further with you and will reach out with a direct message later this week.
