Sending Infrastructure: No MX record(s) for sending domain (SPAM Test: Design & Content)

Hey Validity Community!
How worried should I be? I believe our sending/return-path domain click.ourdomain.com should have an MX record. However we delegated our domain to ESP via CNAME. We cant have MX records on CNAME. Should I re-deglate using NS records?

Hi @EmailAnt,

Great question! I think instead of using a CNAME, you should delegate that subdomain (click.ourdomain.com) using NS records is a good idea. This allows your ESP to add an MX record so that bounces work, ensure that authentication is in place and accurate (SPF, DKIM, & DMARC) and then be able to fully manage the subdomain properly.

Check in with your ESP on this as well for their feedback, but this is my recommendation for this scenario.
