I'm so glad you've joined our community! Currently there is not a way to supress the updates when a new version is available for download but we are always taking feature requests. Instructions on how to vote or add your own ideas can be foundhere. If you scroll way down to the category called "General/System." you will see a request called "Disable New Version notifications". You want to click on that tile select if this feature is Nice-To-Have, Important, Critical and then a description of why this is important to you.
