Hi Everyone,
I know many of you have been using DemandTools for a while to maintain exceptional data hygiene, because clean, reliable data is essential for accurate reporting and a strong customer database. Have you ever found it challenging to demonstrate the true value of DemandTools, especially when budget holders or leadership teams arenโt familiar with what the tool does?
One of my customers described DemandTools as her โdaily oxygenโ in her role, but since her manager wasnโt aware of the toolโs impact, he considered discontinuing it. To help bridge that gap, as a first step we created a Data Assessment and Report Actionable Records, which highlights key data issues based on quality parameters.
Since she runs a large volume of tasks in DemandTools, we also enabled the Monthly Usage Report. It outlines the number of records merged, inserted, updated, or modified, over the past 30 days, and shows trends across modules. One of my favorite parts of this report is that it gives you a clear indication of whether your data hygiene is improving over time.
To keep stakeholders in the loop, we enabled an automated notification of weekly usage summary that proactively shares the impact DemandTools is having on their data with them.
Since then, her manager has come to see DemandTools as a key component of their business processes. She was also able to successfully convince the procurement team to recognize it as part of their preferred software.
