DemandTools has the powerful ability to reference objects up to five hierarchly levels above a given object. This is invaluable to be able to reference fields on related objects.
One use case that comes up often, is the need to clean up records with no children. Unusable records are a costly issue to have in your CRM for many reasons. Salesforce can be difficult to navigate when needing to query records off of child relationships; SF is great at looking up, not so much at looking down.
For this reason, we offer a solution with the Match module. Match can be incredibly powerful due to it's ability to cross reference multiple objects. In this example, you may be looking to delete Accounts that have no Contacts.
Using Match, we can compare Accounts to Contacts, using the Account ID as a matching field across both objects. Upon matching, our report file has a tab for No CRM Record Matches that can then easily be exported and brought into the Delete module for quick clean up!
