So Sender Score and Comcast walk into a bar.....

CHP

and the first thing they do is throw a drink at our MX record.

Scenario:  We changed our IP address and did not have a PTR record setup.  We corrected the issue within a few days.  By this time, Sender Score had us on a block list due to rejected emails.  This caused Comcast to block us.  Now Sender Score is rating us low because Comcast is blocking us because our Sender Score is so low.

Both support teams have carefully pointed out it is due to the other entity,

Not really a punch line unless you count the way we are unable to contact our healthcare members who have Comcast accounts.

To add insult to injury, I recontacted Validity support who told me it was our fault and that they sent a method to correct BL0000000 errors from Comcast.

Unfortunately, our error is BL0001000 whch states the email was blocked due to being on a DNS block list which the only one reporting us is Sender Score.

CHP I'm sorry to hear of this... please send me your affected IP addresses and I'll take a deeper look.  The effect of Sender Score scoring shouldn't be recursive as you describe.  Please send to datahelp @ validity . com .   Thank you!

To ensure transparency, I would like to add that Validity support contacted us and woreked with us to ensure that our sender score was heading in the correct direction.  I appreciate the responsiveness of their support community.  Just wanted to be sure to acknowledge their efforts and not just complain.  : )
