It’s been a year of exciting updates and we want to thank everyone who contributed to the 260 ideas and requests for making DemandTools even better. Your feedback is our favorite way to celebrate.
From role-based access and scenario run history, to welcoming PeopleImport into the DemandTools workflow and everything in between, we’re just getting started. Stay tuned for even more updates in 2022!
Import
Enhanced matching. You can now match on fields from related objects, e.g., match on the Account Name field when importing Contacts.
Enhanced log files. Field values from the original import file will now be included in the log file for successfully imported records
Run History
More scenario metrics! The Run History page now shows how many records were impacted by each Modify scenario.
Schedule
Scenario scheduling pre-check. When editing scheduled jobs, DemandTools checks each scenario for configuration issues that could cause the job to fail, e.g., a missing file designation for an Import job. Making it easier to move jobs to run on a different machine and providing peace of mind when automating your routines.
At the end of 2022 the EmailConnect module will be discontinued in DemandTools 2.91. Users are encouraged to use the Verify module in DemandTools V Release.
When Salesforce ends support for Internet Explorer 11, certain functionality in DemandTools 2.91 and PeopleImport may no longer work. We do not expect this to happen in the next six to nine months but want you to be as prepared as possible. This also means DemandTools 2.91 will not be supported on any Windows versions released after June 15, 2022, as they will no longer include IE 11. We encourage our users to start using DemandTools V Release now for a smooth transition between versions as the world’s technology landscape changes once again.
