I created new fields in Salesforce Contacts and Leads. When I try to Import data and automap, the new fields are not available Is there a delay in synching the systems? Is there something I can do to make it check for new fields in Salesforce?
Thanks,
Mary

You can click on the Settings (Gear Icon) then select "Refresh Metadata" and it will pull in the new fields.

Thank you for answering. Refresh Metadata isn't one of the Settings options and it's not under General Settings. I'm using Elements, so perhaps it's different.

@megaughan - You'll want to make sure you are on the latest version of DemandTools to see all of the latest features as @Murphybp79 reccomended but a quick log out and log back in will otherwise solve for newly added metadata.

Hi! Same issue for me. Just created a new field on users and want to load data to it, but cant find it in the mapping. Also using Elements and dont see a "refresh metadata" option

@egilgras If you close DemandTools and reopen it, it should pull in the updated fields.
yesterday
Have logged out, closed the tab, reopened and logged back in. Still doesnt pull in the field i created today. Have tried it a few times now, and its usually there the next day so there is clearly some "refresh" process that is running in the bacground but would be great if i could access it and manually trigger it.

@egilgras - I assume you have access on the SF profile you are using in DTE to the newly created field. Metadata changes will take into affect if you log out of the CRM connection within DTE and log back in rather then a full log out of the application
