Hello to the community -
We have a small group of Salesforce users training up on DemandTools who will be responsible for managing Opportunity data for their respective Sales regions. These users have standard Read, Create, Edit permissions on our core objects including Opportunity object. I am also new to DemandTools and am responsible for user access to DemandTools.
In order for these users to use standard features of DemandTools such as Modify, Reassign, and Import for objects, what Salesforce object permissions are required? Will they need Modify All Data on Opportunity object? Or will they need Modify All Data for all standard objects?
I've gone through the training but have been unable to find help articles on what object permissions are required in Salesforce for DemandTools functionality and what limits may be available to restrict users to update/upload to specific objects. Appreciate any guidance as I don't want permissions to be too restrictive or too permissive for these users. Thank you.

Hi @vledajaks, thank you for this question! Users will only need access to the records/fields that they will be updating within the DemandTools V platform itself - the great thing about it is it will always respect that user's SF permissions. To invite users to use DemandTools, you can follow the steps within this article.
The most important thing to ensure the users have is the permission "API Enabled". This is required and cannot be bypassed.
Additionally, we do suggest users have the "View Setup and Configuration" permission enabled, however this one is not required. If users run into any issues after their permissions are setup as mentioned above, please open a ticket with our technical support team using this form.
