I have always wondered what are the factors that decide the order in which duplicate groups appear. Does anyone know? For example, if I run a Dedupe scenario for the Contact object, I might see the duplicate group for "Crystal Geyser" and "Crystal Geyser" appearing before the duplicate group for "Bob Jones" and "Bob Jones". So, I can obviously tell that it is not based on factors like the alphabetical ordering of the Contact's first or last names.
Does it have something to do with the created date of one of the records in the duplicate group? I would appreciate any insights.

Hi @jramirez ,
Thanks for sharing your question with the community. I did a bit of digging, and the short answer is that DemandTools generates reports in an arbitrary order, they aren’t sorted by date, ID, or any specific field.
I hope this helps!
