How to Add Record ID Fields to Activities Created on the Winning Record After Dedupe

Hello,
I’m using DemandTools dedupe and I’m wondering if there’s a way to include record ID fields in the Activity that gets created when using the MergeOption.

Here’s what I’m trying to do:
• When I run a dedupe job, DemandTools creates an activity (e.g., “RecordMerged”) on the winning record.
• I’d like that activity to also include certain ID values for example, the losing record’s ID either in the description or another field of the created activity.

Hey @Julie - While you can't customize the activity with desired information, you can use Field Rules to accomplish this with a custom field. A setup as shown below, replacing description for a combinable custom field such as Merged ID(s) would result in the losing record ID(s) to be stored on the winning record.
